Why Modern Pet Furniture Is the New Thing in UAE Homes: 6 Reasons
Pet friendly furniture that looks like furniture, not like pet gear.
By the PerMiu design team30 September 2026
For years, pet owners had two choices: plastic pet gear on the floor, or a room that ignores the pet. Modern pet furniture builds the pet’s space inside a real piece of furniture. Here is why it makes sense for homes in the UAE.
- Premium German wood veneer
- Assembled in the United Arab Emirates
- 2-year structural warranty
- Free delivery across the UAE
Homes are smaller, so every piece does two jobs
A table that is also a cat bed. A bench that also hides the litter box.

Many apartments have no spare room for the pet’s things, so every piece has to earn its place.
Modern pet furniture gives one piece two jobs. The Nest Table is a coffee table with a cushioned cat nest underneath.
Open-plan rooms leave nothing hidden
When the living room is the whole home, pet gear is always on show.
Open-plan living looks great until the litter box, the cat tree and the dog bed are all in view.
Pet furniture puts those things inside pieces that match the room: a sideboard for the litter box, a lounge for the dog, a table for the cat.
Renters pay for damage
In Dubai, a pet deposit can be AED 2,000 to 6,000.
Dhs. 7,200.00VAT included
Scratched sofas and walls come out of the deposit when you move out. Scratching is normal cat behaviour, so the answer is a better place to scratch.
The Mina Scratch Credenza is a living room credenza built to be scratching friendly, with storage inside and a padded top for resting.
Plastic and carpet do not last
Pet gear cracks, stains and sheds. Furniture is built to stay.
Plastic boxes crack and carpet trees wear out, so pet gear often gets replaced.
PerMiu pieces are made with premium German wood veneer, assembled in the United Arab Emirates, and carry a 2-year structural warranty.
The pet’s space should match the home
A dog bed that matches the sofa. A cat perch that suits the wall.

Pets live in the living room, so their things are part of the room.
The Cove Lounge is a sofa-style dog lounge with raised sides and a removable cushion, for small to medium dogs. It comes in three finishes, so it sits with your sofa, not against it.
Designed as furniture first
Drawn by an interior designer and an engineer, then built for pets.
Most pet products are designed around the pet and ignore the room.
PerMiu was started by an engineer and an interior designer who love how a home looks. Every piece is drawn as furniture first, then the pet function is built inside.
